The line-up for the FREE Oxjam Leadenhall Market 2010 on Friday 22 October can’t get any better. We’re proud to present some of the best up-and-coming bands in the South East:

We’ve been really lucky to secure a fantastic compere in the form of Essex’s Andy Poole. We’re really excited to have someone with such perfect comic timing, stage presence and more than a few surprises up his sleeve!!

More than music

We’ll also have a compilation CD on sale on the day, so you can take a piece of the Oxjam vibe away with you. There’ll also been food, Oxjam cocktails and some fantastic prizes to be won! The kind businesses of Leadenhall Market have given some money-can’t-buy prizes – come and find the Tombola stand!!

And don’t forget, all the money raised on the night goes straight to Oxfam’s fantastic causes.

Oxjam keeps going throughout the weekend! You have the option of four fabulous events in London… Oxjam Kilburn,  Oxjam Kingston, Oxjam Brick Lane Takeover,  Oxjam Brixton Takeover – jam-packed with local musical talent, all in the name of Oxfam.

It’s almost here!!!

Oxjam update – Did someone say only three weeks to go?

Well Oxjamers, the time is getting closer and it’s all hands on deck. But all that aside, we’ve raised lots of money and been given some fantastic prizes for our raffle… so thank you to everyone for your efforts!

It’s also been an exciting time for the national launch – from The Charlatans on Monday and Four Tet tonight. Oxjam’s really made its mark this year!

Orange Rock Corps

The Takeover: see for yourself what to expect

We took advantage of London’s Open House weekend to host a Buskathon in Leadenhall Market… a chance to raise money for Oxjam and give a scaled down, acoustic taster of what is to come on 22 October.

Thanks to Amoriste, Joanna Weston, Phil Burdett, Marianne Hyatt and the human jukebox Mike Thompson for a day of musical entertainment.

Oh, and we made a video to explain why the Takeover is so great, give a taste of the live talents of some of our bands, and show off our fantastic team. Give it a watch. Then check out the oxjamleadenhall You Tube channel for more from the bands that will be taking over Leadenhall in just a month.

Experience Leadenhall Market on a Saturday – with entertainment from Oxjam!

On Saturday 18th London, Leadenhall Market will be part of Open House London – the capital’s greatest architectural showcase. And Oxjam has organised a superb day of musical entertainment!

The Open House initiative is a simple but powerful concept: hundreds of great buildings of all types and periods open up their doors to all, completely for FREE. It is a truly city-wide celebration of the buildings, places and neighbourhoods where we live, work and play, and is your opportunity to get out and get under the skin of London’s amazing architecture.

Leadenhall’s shops, bars and restaurants are usually only open on week days, so this is a unique opportunity to experience one of London’s oldest markets outside of the weekday bustle of the City – and to support a good cause!

The Oxjam team will be enhancing the atmosphere with musical entertainment from 11am – 6pm. Come and say hello and find out more about the main event on October 22nd!
